Privacy Policy

This is an early draft policy describing the product as built. It should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before Namewise leaves private beta.

What we collect

Namewise follows a "collect insights, not identities" principle. We collect anonymous product events (page views, searches performed as normalised categories rather than raw text, shortlist actions, Name Checker usage) only after you grant analytics consent — see our cookies page and consent choices below. Your shortlist is stored locally in your browser and is never transmitted to us unless you create an account in a future release.

What we don't collect

We do not collect raw free-text search queries as analytics events, do not sell personal data, and do not use hidden trackers that load before you've made a consent choice.

Third parties

Our own first-party analytics (Corevo), advertising and marketing pixels are all consent-gated and disabled by default in this release — see advertising policy and affiliate disclosure.

Namewise is also built to support Google Analytics 4 (GA4), which is not active today. If and when it is switched on for a public launch, it will only ever run after you grant analytics consent, will never fire on our internal admin tooling, will never receive the raw text of a search you type, and will never receive your shortlist or comparison contents. This paragraph will be updated to reflect GA4's real status the moment it changes — see methodologyfor how we keep this policy honest about what's actually configured, not just what's planned.
