How many distinct years a name was ranked inside the top 100 of any published list, whether or not those years ran together.

Counted per year, not per list: a name inside the top 100 of three registrars in one year contributes one year, because the alternative would reward being recorded in more places rather than being ranked higher. A top-100 place is only ever a place within the list that published it.
